The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States established 29 SEP 1899. Post 1154 in Lafayette, Indiana chartered in 1933. Our mission is to foster camaraderie among United States Veterans of overseas conflicts. To serve our Veterans, the military, and our communities. To advocate on behalf of all Veterans.

Post 38 offers several major programs such as sponsoring high school juniors for Girls and Boys State, conduct American Legion Flag Education program for 4th graders, and more. We also do a joint Pub Night with Veterans living at Westminster Village once a month.

Serve and support all active duty military and our honorably discharged veterans (all branches of the US Armed Forces) … Serve as a support system for all military moms … Educate the public on our service member needs and on ways that they can help support our heroes.

Our local chapter (27) attends many community fairs to raise awareness and funds for the Veteran’s transportation vehicle for Tippecanoe County. Present the Cadet of the Year Award to the worthy Purdue ROTC cadet.

Navy Club USA Ship 12 supports Purdue University Nursing scholarships, Lafayette Sea Cadets program, local school backpack program, and local Veterans programs. Supported the Columbian park renovations of Memorial Island and Memorial plaza.
